EspaƱol es el mejor
Hey hey everyone!! Sorry that my weekly is coming so late today, my new zone has lots going on! We went to our mission president’s house for a birthday breakfast and then we all went to play soccer at an indoor stadium. It was so much fun!
This week with Hna Jessop and Hna Hindmarsh has been crazy and FULL of miracles but this is actually probably going to be a short email because of how little time I have.
We have SIX people on date for baptism right now and it’s an incredible blessing. Three of them were put on-date this week, and all of the lessons were just so Spirit-filled and each one of the people had very strong feelings about the dates they picked to be baptized. We also had an awesome miracle with a 17-year-old on-date investigator named Lina. She decided to come to church last-minute and she loved it. She answered questions better than all of the other youth and at the end she said, “I think coming here was the best decision I could have made today.” You can’t imagine how happy that made me!
Besides all those miracles, I think the craziest thing that happened this week was eating tacos de lengua (tongue tacos) with Edith, another one of our on-date investigators. They were actually not that bad! I’m glad I get to try lots of new things on my mission. Also, the members make such bomb food here!! I am SO happy to be back in Spanish work, here with these amazing hermanas, and seeing so many miracles. The only downside is coming home with all of my clothes smelling like tacos every night haha.
Anyway, my little spiritual thought for you is about goal-setting and planning! Something I learned from the new chapter 8 of PMG is that goal-setting is an act of faith, and that planning puts the faith into action. And, the way we can align our goals with the will of the Lord is through prayer, pondering, and listening to our priesthood leaders. I know that as you set goals that are aligned with the will of the Lord and then plan and act in faith, He will bless your efforts and help you achieve your righteous goals because He loves you! Have a great week!
Love,
Hermana O’Barr
Sorry, lots of pics of food this week
